in fact this is 5.4.0 but on other machines I think we have 5.5 running, I'm using debian packages from sara.nl, before instaling omsa you have to make sure ipmit is working, without this sensors ect. won't work, enabling ipmi later won't help (omsa sets it's own ipmi config during install, so reinstall wont help if it was installed on a system without working ipmi, you have to remove and install omsa again) If You want only to monitor sensors, not configure anything ipmitool might be simpler then omsa (ipmitool sel list, ipmitool sdr required modules ipmi_si, ipmi_devintf) -- Lazy _______________________________________________ Linux-PowerEdge mailing list [email protected] https://lists.us.dell.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-poweredge Please read the FAQ at http://lists.us.dell.com/faq
