Hi Wayne thanks for your detailed reply, I agree with your sentiments however our only option is for 100% fully documented support. We are an Oracle house running Oracle Ebusiness Suite for many public sector services and all hardware/software combinations have to be fully certified and compatible with each other. If Dell don't certify OEL (we wouldn't expect to get OS support from Dell for OEL, but we need OEL to be certified on Dell hardware) then we either stay with RHEL or find out what hardware is certified with OEL. Chances are we'll just stay with RHEL however.
