I just called Dell to purchase an IDRAC6 enterprise for an R210 server and they informed me that for the R210 (and of the servers below the R610), that if i did not also buy an Express card I would be missing functionality. I asked them what that was and they could not answer that question.
Can anyone tell me what functionality is lost if I add only an IDRAC6 enterprise and not an express card as well? I'm interested in the remote console functions as well as the ability to monitor the machine and notify of hardware faults.
