The recent repo change has broken automatic updates on dell servers w/ the dell
repo enabled and omsa 8.1 installed. With omsa 8.1 (and possibly other older
versions) - the following packages would have been installed on a server:

python-smbios
smbios-utils-python
yum-dellsysid

As a result of the repo change - servers with omsa 8.1 are now being pushed to
8.3. Unfortunately it does not appear that you have tested this case as a
server does not cleanly upgrade to 8.3 under these conditions. You will get
dependency errors when libsmbios tries to get upgraded. There is a recent
thread with the applicable rpm dependency output. While we can remove these
packages since they no longer seem to be needed - your repo change has now
broken automatic OS updates on RHEL 6 servers where the dell repos may have
previously been configured.

I would highly ask that you consider creating a solution to address this via an
update to the rpm packages - so as to prevent a scenario where manual
remediation is going to be required - and not indirectly perpetuating a
security risk.

thanks,

ed
