Thanks Dan, :)

This server is out of warranty anyway and is my home workstation.

I wonder what people would recommend when using an H730P (SFF-8643 36-pin
connectors) with a T410 Backplane (SFF-8087 32-Pin connectors).

Does such cabling even exist?

Thanks,

Vincent

Typically, anything you install should work, however you will not get support

Dell kit is supported because it has been tested with other Dell kit and
typically has Dell-specific firmware modifications. You can replace Dell with
any other brand name here really.

PS: I'm not a Dell employee, but I used to be a while ago, and this was the
policy.

      Hi everyone,
I'm probably gonna get a H730P to upgrade my PE T410 (currently running a
9271-8i). Does anyone know if there are restrictions on the types of disks
useable on an H730P? Can anyone confirm that it allows non-Dell drives?
I have a Samsung SSD 850 and several WD Red NAS drives currently on my
      9271-8i.

      Thanks,

      Vincent
