Dell - Internal Use - Confidential Hi If you update the Firmware/BIOS/Application from operating system using DSU or Dell update package then jobs will not be created in iDRAC/Life cycle controller. The jobs will be created only when you update the Firmware/BIOS/Application from iDRAC or Lifecycle controller.

So, you need to test with a firmware update that requires a reboot. Again, IIRC, network firmware requires a reboot. I'm sure there are others but I can't remember what they are. > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:linux-poweredge- > [email protected]] On Behalf Of Luke Bigum > Sent: Wednesday, August 31, 2016 6:12 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [Linux-PowerEdge] Check for firmware staged to Lifecycle > Controller > > Thanks all, > > Sounds simple but doesn't work for me though.
