Hello Mike,

If I understand correctly, your requirement is to monitor the health of
hardware components of the system. You may use OMSA command line utility which
gives you report in user friendly format.

For example: "omreport chassis" command gives following output (Command
response varies based on system configuration).

C:\>omreport chassis

Health

Main System Chassis

SEVERITY : COMPONENT

Ok : Fans

Ok : Intrusion

Ok : Memory

Critical : Power Supplies

Ok : Power Management

Ok : Processors

Ok : Temperatures

Ok : Voltages

Ok : Hardware Log

Ok : Batteries

For further help, type the command followed by -?

You can download the latest OMSA

If using omreport/OMSA the check_openmanage script at
http://folk.uio.no/trondham/software/check_openmanage.html can be useful.
