Subject: [Linux-PowerEdge] Error in "dsu" call

Hello everyone,

during a DSU run nearly everything got updated, only for "OpenManage | iDRAC
Service Module" I got an "Update Prereq not available".

I'm running dsu 1.7.0 on SLES for SAP 12 SP5 (and SP3 before) on one
R930 and one R740xd. The problem came up on both.

When doing "dsu -p -q", I get

===== snip =====
# dsu -p -q
DELL EMC System Update 1.7.0

Verifying catalog installation ...

NOTE: The preview option displays the components which can be updated based on
Catalog. This option does not update.
Run --inventory for checking the component status post DSU commit.
Exiting DSU!

"dsu --inventory" displays "warning: Inventory collector returned with partial
failure." too, and in the output I find "Application, OpenManage
| iDRAC Service Module  ( Version : 3.2.0.1 )". And "Application,
Inventory Collector  ( Version : 19.04.00 )" :)

My repo URLs are
* <https://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/dsu/os_independent>
*
<https://linux.dell.com/repo/hardware/dsu/mirrors.cgi/osname=sles12&basearch=x86_64&native=1&redirpath=/>

So, my questions:
* What might be this ominous "Update Prereq" that I'm missing?
* Where does the "partial failure" of the "Inventory collector" come from?

A Web Search Engine ;) found the same problem in 2017 on this list. It might've
been caused by using Scientific Linux and not having installed OpenIPMI. But my
OS is supported, and I have several IPMI software
installed:

# rpm -qa '*IPMI*' | sort
OpenIPMI-2.0.21-10.6.24.x86_64
OpenIPMI-devel-2.0.21-10.6.24.x86_64

# rpm -qa '*ipmi*' | sort
