RAID0 is not mirror, its is stripe, which is fast but *increases* your
failure chances.  If you want mirroring, RAID1 is what you need.  I
wanted to point this out since in the controller config is just says
"RAID0" or "RAID1", so make sure you pick the right one!

You're right in that the main difference is the speed of the disks, so
it's really dependent upon what you'll be using the server for.  I
suggest you purchase an additional disk and run it as a hot spare with
auto rebuild, or keep it as a cold spare.  You don't want to be caught
if the remaining disk goes bad while you're waiting for the
replacement.
