Most likely a 2TB limitation (48bit lba) on a volume set on the host controller. This is valid for most older lsi and adaptec controllers of the era. Try making a mirror and see if that works for you. Might be able to use software raid to create a stripe of mirrors. That or LVM. I have a LSI 300-8x that can't do > 2TB volumes. I suppose that provides a strategy to market new controllers. Pretty much all controllers have a 48bit lba limitation on the physical disks. Not sure if there are already controllers that support physical disks with 64bit lbas Regards, Seth _______________________________________________ Linux-PowerEdge mailing list [email protected] https://lists.us.dell.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-poweredge Please read the FAQ at http://lists.us.dell.com/faq
