Ive just upgraded to Redhat 5.1 with kernel 2.0.35 and am trying to
update ppp 2.2.0 to 2.3.5, the latest issue.
I'm following the instructions:
/new_src/ppp-2.3.5/.configure
/new_src/ppp-2.3.5/make kernel
/usr/src/linux/make dep
/usr/src/linux/make zImage
At this point make complains about several inconsistancies about the
ppp.o make.
It seems that the make kernel above failes to copy all the files to
the correct locations, some have the current date and some are old.
diff reports major differences.
Why will the install script not run under RHL 5.1? and what can I do
to fix it, is there a solution that does not involve copying
all of the ppp source into what I assume to be the correct location.
