Probably not a lot. I did once want to use it: my dial-in modems were
all busy, but I could dial somebody else, which gave me a shell prompt,
from where I could telnet to my machine. I thought about tunelling a
ppp link back through the telnet session, but decided it was too sicko
even for me, and anyway I couldn't be bothered working out what to put
in the escape map.
