Just an addenum to Adam's comments. The version attached is March 1997,
the current version is May 1998. I don't know what the differences are
(I haven't read either yet). The home page for VPN HOWTO is
http://www.hal.vein.hu/~mag/linux-security/index.html.
For some reason many of the sunsite mirrors haven't correctly mirrored
this HOWTO.
Another resource for VPN's on ssh is the O'Reilly website
http://www.ora.com, they've just released the 2nd edition of their VPN
book, and 2 sample chapters are available. The 2nd chapter is in part
based on the HOWTO and is a very good read.
