Hi Doug.
Thanks for your info, but I still can't get it to work.
Using the latest pppd -2.3.5, installed as per the instructions and the
Linux kernel 2.0.35 patched according to the directions from the mailing
list and recompiled.
I have similar settings in the options file as yourself, but still no go.
Could you please dig out the patches you mentioned?
Thanks...

There is a problem with the 2.3.X series of ppp that keeps ipx from
working properly. So you would need to get the most recent version
of ppp (ppp-2.3.5 I think), apply a couple of patches, then compile
and install it. Depending on the version of ppp you are running now,
you will probably have to recompile your kernel as well (new
versions require an updated driver).
The ipx-related options that I use (with ppp-2.3.3) are:
ipx
ipx-network ABCDEF00
ipx-node 0000000123:0000000456
Then, after you get ppp working with ipx, you need to run an ipx
rip/sap daemon on the machine to manage your ipx routes for you.
I use ipxripd-0.7.
If you are going to try patching and compiling ppp, let me know,
and I'll try to dig up a copy of the patches and send to you.
Good luck,
Doug
