Could you help me:
To use diald, I had to configure the file /etc/ppp/connect as follow:
MODEM_INIT=ATZ&C1&D2%C0
PHONE_NUMBER=my_isp dialin number
USER_CHAT_SEQ=ogin:
..etc..(I mean all the usual stuff withg password..etc).
And my /etc/diald.conf is well configured with stuff like:
fifo /etc/diald/diald.ctl
mode ppp
connect :sh /etc/ppp/connect"
device /dev/modem
speed 38400
etc..
But when I run /etc/ppp/connect (all permissions are OK), I get error:
C1 command not found
D2%C0 command not found
or: /etc/ppp/connect:ppp:command not found
and ATZ&C1&D2%C0 comes up on the screen and stands there eternally
before I get back to my habitual command line.
No modem dialin..nothin..and I ve tried my own modem init strings..still
same problem.
