I need to ask the guru's on the list server if I should stay with my current
configuration or start to update to the new 2.2 Kernal's and pppd 2.3.5.
My system now run's 2.0.36 Kernal and pppd 2.2.0.
Here is what I'm doing with my system configuration.

Mail server
Domain name server
Firewall / Gateway for subnet ethernet to Internet
eth0 and eth1
PPP Dial in internet server
Running Comtrol's Rocket Port 8 port card for dialin modems using Comtrols
Linux Drivers.
FTP server
Apache HTTP server
As you can see I have this box pretty loaded and it realy works quite well
so if there is no reasion to change it wouldn't hurt my feelings, But if the
support is going away from the 2.0.* Kernals then I guess I should change
are at least build a test machine to try to get everything working before I
fall behind.
Is there a real good reasion to go from 2.2 PPP to 2.3 PPP at this point in
time??
Anyway thanks alot for your time

ppp 2.3.5 is good. I only use that now. (But you need the advice on compiling from this list). Kernel 2.2 I'm leaving decisions on until it comes out in the mainstream releases - Redhat, Debian, Slackware etc.
