Weird Problem!

I would just like to thank all who replied and help me a week ago. The
weird problem was that I was just too tired and had not added a user xxxx
line in the /etc/ppp/options. Consequently the pap request where not
answered, and hence the hangups. 

Alls well that ends well, still trying to catch up with sleep
