I have a problem with dialing up with PPP v2.3.5, it _WILL_ not connect, under
any know circumstances...

After about 20 seconds it will drop the connection, and if I turn debug on, my
end will send a "Authentication Failed" _to_ the server. I have also turned
kdebug 6 on, and I still get no activity after the user/pass info, until my end
sends the error. The 2.2 option of "+ua <filename>" worked correctly, and got
me connected, +pap never has, to my knowledge.

the command line is: /usr/sbin/pppd /dev/ttyS1 57600 connect
/usr/local/etc/jaycom-dialer

(I took out the +pap & login options after it was suggested to me that that was
what it might be)

The dialer connects correctly, it send my password correctly, which is in
/etc/ppp/pap-secrets, then it dies.

My ISP is WinNT, and the dial in is a Cisco 2511, and my ISP is willing to do
anything within his power to help get it going, so I can give you configuration
information for my end, the Cisco, or the NT box.

Authentication is PAP.

My end is using kernel 2.0.36-pre12.

Thanks in advance, mabs

(PS. I am not on the linux-ppp mail list, so could you please CC me)
