Where can I find a good resource of AT Initialization strings? I've about given up hope on a Motorola 33.6 modem that was a spare from work. I brought it home and connected it to my RH 5.1 PPP-2.3.3-5 set up. When I type echo "ATDTXXX-XXXX/n" >/dev/cua0 the lights flash on the modem but it never dials. When I echo the generic reset modem ATZ string nothing happens. Has anyone ever encountered any problems with a modem not dialing although everything appears to be ok? This is the second modem I've had similar problems with. The only modem I've successfully gotten to dial out is an old ZOOM FAX 14.4. Most of the work I'm doing is text based so 14.4 isn't too bad. But I've got a wife who's interested in using AOL and Web Applications through my homemade gateway and she'll flood out 14.4 fairly quickly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
