G'day all,
I have a bunch of dial up users. Some of them use Slirp and newr
ones are using PPP 2.2.0f. Some of them are saying that after some time,
which can be anytime, the traffic stops. They are still connected but
cannot get anywhere or do anything. I have verified this from home as
well.

I cannot tie it down but can PPP/Slirp do this? I can certainly put on
extra debugging but it does not help me and I cannot tell when it is going to
happen. Traffic does not appear to stop on the ethernet side of things so
I am assuming PPP or Slirp is doing it. IP numbers are assigned
dnynamically in the case of PPP. It also appears to affect some of the
pppx devices, not all. Using iptraf I can see some devices going hammer
and tongs but no activity in others.

Redialling and logging on again fixes the problem temporarily but this of
course is not acceptable.

Any comments/suggestions?
