Iam a new linux user I have a 3 PC network and have installed slackware 3.6,
I am able to
connect to my ISP using
pppd /dev/modem 38400 connect "chat -f /erc/ppp/cscript"
this works OK so I think that the cscript file is fine. I have since
installed diald0.16 with
the following /etc/diald.conf.
mode ppp
connect "/usr/sbin/chat -f /etc/ppp/cscript"
device /dev/modem
speed 38400
modem
lock
crtscts
local 158.152.73.2
remote 158.152.1.222
defaultroute
include /usr/lib/diald/standard.filter
When I start netscape on other PC's the modem on the linux box dials but
then drops the line.
Does anyone know how I can see the interaction between my Linux box and the
ISP or what else
I may have overlooked ?.
