Hey friends,
I've just installed five ppp box running "ppp servers". All "servers" are
working fine, but the last two Linux Box have a problem.
I can connect to the ppp server, the ppp interface comes up, but I can't
ping or telnet the other side (the "server"), using a linux box.
I have a Motorola V3225 and V.3400 and I can see in the display during the
connection, a lot of sucessive messages like "trainning" and "on line" at
the "server" side.
Using the Dial-Up Networking from Windowns NT, I can see "CRC" errors. After
10 or more CRC the pppd goes down at the "server" side, but the modem link
still remains in service.
It's funny. Using the WinNT I can ping or telnet the server for a couple of
minutes.
Here is a ifconfig from the "client" side:
ppp0 Link encap:Point-to-Point Protocol
inet addr:198.175.182.151 P-t-P:198.175.182.150
Mask:255.255.255.0
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:5 errors:1 dropped:1 overruns:0
TX packets:20 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0
I'm using kdebug 5 and I can see this:
Dec 18 00:52:06 xcpc kernel: ppp_tty_ioctl: set flags to f050014
Dec 18 00:52:06 xcpc kernel: ppp: write frame, count = 8

I hope you can help me.
Thank you very much.
