I was recently forced to upgrade pppd when I installed the latest stable
Linux kernel.
This went quite smoothly, however, while looking around for the latest pppd,
I noticed that there are a great many new programs used to dial out to an
ISP (among other things).

I have been using DIP for nearly 2+ years now. Is there any reason that I
might want to migrate off of DIP and onto one of these newer packages? Have
you found any one of these packages to be far superior to the others?

(yes the dip version I have is the one that I originally installed many
moons ago)
