I'm no expert, but it looks to me like your ISP is trying authenticate you
using PAP, not a login script.
You should probably try that; check out the Authentication section of the pppd
man pages.
Also, if you are supposed to be using a login script, you might want to try
connecting to your ISP with Minicom to make certain the username password stuff
is correct.
