You sure it isn't just your asyncmap settings? If you are not setting it to
0 then it's possible that you won't like the default.. although I hear that
this has changed quite recently to default to 0.
As far as MTU + Masquerade, I think there is still a problem with not being
able to use an MTU that is different than your ethernet. I have that
problem, being that I connect via slip 1006 from a CDPD cellphone. I just
use the MSS option on my routes as a work-around for that.
