Miracle computer: Attempting to establish a ppp connection via a
nullmodem cable between two notebooks I succeeded some
weeks ago (doing 'pppd /dev/ttyS1 passive 192.168.4.1:192.168.4.2
115200 crtscts &' from the one and similar - without 'passive' from
the other). But today the experiment fails. pppd exits with the error
'unknown host: slip01'. I really don't remember of any changes in
the system configuration until then (2.0.36 kernel with ppp
compiled as module).
What's that?
