Okay, I dl'd and installed pppd-2.3.7 and when I dial out to my isp, or
any pppd work at all, even on the ethernet it STILL say 'modprobe: Can't
locate module char-major-6' so in regards to my original question: what
is this module, where can I obtain it and how do I install it? :)
should I maybe go back to pppd-2.2p4 which gave no such errors?
