I've a British Telecom "Speedway" TA (serial port connected).
The card inside the TA says "AVM FRITZ IX-V". So I guess its really
part of the AVM Fritz product line.
I cant see a serial-connected (not USB) TA on the www.avm.de site so
I'm not sure of the original AVM product name.
The TA works OK from '95, it came with a bunch of drivers from AVM.
The serial port works under Linux with a modem connected .
I cant get the TA to respond at all to Linux. There's a "PC" led which I
assume comes on once the PC initialises the TA, I cant get it lit from
Linux.
ISDN 4 Linux FAQ says ......
"External ISDN adapters can be accessed either like an analog modem or
like a network card" so I'm assuming there's an AT command sequence
required? I've tried logging the ISDN dialout from 95 and using the AT init
commands from that but I didn't get any joy.
I'm trying to connect via ppp to CompuServe.
My linux is the Redhat 5.2 distribution plus the 2.2.7 kernel.
Can anyone help?
thanx,
Phil
