Hi,
Thank you for your message.
What I am looking for is how to connnect the two linux running computers
using modem configured in LEASED LINE MODE. The howto only talk about null
modem cable and configuring client and server for dial up purpose. It does
not mention how I can connect two computer using modems, which are given
lease line command I mean in dumb mode.

I am not interested on dialup session, I can configure that with mgetty or
portslave. This is my scenario:

1. I have two linux box running redhat linux 5.2 in my office
2. I have configured Multitech's 224E modem in leased line mode, using
ATL1&C1&D2&L1&S0=0&W&W1 FOR ONE MODEM (ORIGINATING MODEM)
ATL1&C1&D2&L1&S0=1&W&W1 (ANSWERING MODEM)
which are connected to each linux box respectively.
3.I have connected these two modems with standard telephone connector,
RJ11, as a physical connection.
4. Now, how can I configure PPP between these two computers so that I can
make these two computers talk to each others whenever there is a proper
connection.
5. So that I can utilize the resources of each other, like telnet, ftp, www
etc.

TIA.

Regards,
ranjan
