Hi!
I did this with a Caldera 1.3 (pppd 2.2.0) distribution:
pppd /dev/ttyS0 147.83.100.100:147.83.100.101 -detach passive mru 296
pppd /dev/ttyS1 mru 296
and I made a double null-modem connection between my Linux FTP client/server
and a Win95 channel simulator (that reads from COM1 and writes in COM2).
But these 2 command doesn't work in RedHat 6 (pppd 2.3.7) with the same
/etc/ppp/options file. I've tried to load the ppp module or to recompile the
kernel with PPP support but it stills doing the same:
It says pppd 2.3.7 started by root, uid 0, but doesn't assign ppp0 with
/dev/ttyS1.
Does anyone had any idea?
