Personally I prefer not to have to recompile the kernel, so it is
adviseable to use a multiport card, that is already in compiled into the
kernel.

RH6.0 supports Stallions and Cyclades and other out of the box. No
recompile. So these are the cards to go for.

Another piece of advise - USE THE LATEST VERSION OF THE DISTRIBUTION.

Redhat 6.0 is the current version.
