Hello,
Awhile back I asked how to connect Linux to NT over a Null Modem
connection.
With no help from M$, we figured it out today. For anyone interested, here
is
how we did it. BTW: I am so glad that M$ has so made this so easy to
figure out.

To add RAS to a COM port:
Right click on Network Neighborhood, select Properties.
Select the Services tab.
Select Remote Access Services, Properties.
On Remote Access Setup, select Add.
Click, "Don't select from list, I will". Click Next.
Select from Manufacturer, Standard Modem Types. Select from Models:
Dial-up Network Serial Cable between 2 PCs.
Select the proper COM port.
Finish out, the network bindings will be redone.
Select Control Panel!Modems.
Verify that the modem exists. Verify connection sped to 115200, 8N1.
Select the advanced tab and select to record a log file. The logfile will
be under the windows system directory and be named something like
ModemLog<description from modem applet>.txt.
Reboot.
Check the file /<windows system directory>/inf/mdmhayes.inf:
