You seem to be missing something. My AutoPPP line is:
/AutoPPP/ - a_ppp /usr/sbin/pppd
(my system is dial-in only, with options in /etc/ppp/options)
Put 'a_ppp' as the second parameter of your AutoPPP line as above. With
the equivalent options and pap-secrets properly configured, PPP users show
up in my log, as in this example:
ggoodrum ttyR2 230400 Sun Aug 15 18:36 - 20:51 (02:14)
a_ppp ttyR2 230400 Sun Aug 15 18:36 - 18:36 (00:00)
