It's still there and working in ppp-2.3.x, x<=9, but is not advertised in
the documentation. Even in ppp-2.2.0f it was termed obsolescent in the man
pages.
|wich are the changes to work with ppp-2.3.5-0b?
The preferred way is to configure a /etc/ppp/pap-secrets file and use the
pppd name option.
