I am still trying to be able to play around with the PPP drivers.
I just cleanly built the 2.3.15 kernel, and I upgrade my pppd-2.3.9 to
include the change I saw on the list today ("&" to "|" to get
reconnection enabled).
I still am having problems. Two things may be of interest if anyone out
there might be able to help me: despite the fact that I understood that
/dev/ppp would be created for me automatically if it wasn't already
there, if I remove the device (which was in fact installed by pppd-2.3.9
before I patched it, running against 2.3.14) then it does NOT get
recreated.
If I create it manually (c 108 0) then I get the above error message
immediately upon bringing up the daemon.
Is there anyone out there who might point me in the right direction?
