Quickie (I hope).
I'm having problems connecting to a linux box, from a linux box using
ppp. Mgetty doesn't seem to exec pppd. no problems from win98 - but
linux.... :(
strace on mgetty reports
'execve("/etc/ppp/pppscript", ["-pppscript"], [/* 6 vars */] = -1
EACCES (Permissions denied)'
pppscript is invoked as the shell during login. I.e ppp:*:/PPP
Test:/home/ppp:/etc/ppp/pppscript - I guess that pppscript isn't really
a shell so is it OK to do this? I've tried adding it to /etc/shells too;
but to no avail. The file system is not mounted 'noexec' and execute
permission is set for the pppscript.
I'd really appreciate any help that anyone can offer!
Cheers Avian
