I just built kernel 2.3.16 and ppp 2.3.9, trying to get my cirumstances
to work with the changes to the PPP code in the kernels.

I'm *almost* there, and hope that this little summary might trigger
recognition in someone and that that someone might enlighten me.

The link comes up just fine, but I'm getting almost 50% packet loss to
my link at the other end, which is running ppp 2.3.6 under kernel 2.2.5.

I'm sure this message in my debug file is the key, but I don't know what
to do about it. My side seems to be streaming reset requests at the
other end, which are being acked but for some reason the link stays up.

These just keep counting up as long as I have the link up, and the
packet loss is almost exactly 50%.

I hope perhaps someone out there can help.

Thanks.

B.
