I am trying to compile this new(er) version of pppd and have a problem.
Here is what I see when I 'make' after having run ./configure:
sys-linux.o: In function `ppp_available':
/usr/include/sys/stat.h:169: undefined reference to `makedev'
make[1]: *** [pppd] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/ppp-2.3.9/pppd'
make: *** [all] Error 2
ve1drg:/usr/src/ppp-2.3.9#
I currently have pppd version 2.3.7 installed and was trying to upgrade.
>From reading the readme file for linux it said I just needed to run
./configure, make and then make install if a relatively current version of
pppd was installed.
Any help would be appreciated.
