Hi all, Please see following mail for and send me your openion if any. > Is it necessary to put more than one line in /etc/ppp/pap-secrets file if > one is using > * * "" * This means: anyone allowed to authentify as any IP address to us with no password (at least to my knowledge). Maybe if you use that conjointly with the `login' option it will check with /etc/passwd, else, and if you use AutoPPP, you open your system to the world. For a more precize answer, please ask the linux-ppp mailing-list. I have never used the `login' option, nor PAP. I use CHAP, with AutoPPP, one IP address per user, one specific password per user, which has no link with their possible /etc/passwd or POP password. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-ppp" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
