Now that you mention I am not even sure these lines are needed. I think so, if
you would like to experiment you could set # marks before the lines in
modules.conf. I am not sure but according to me ppp0 and ppp1 are "temporary
devices". Not a real device with points to hardware (ex. /dev/modem) but just
some sort of ID. ppp1 is only used when having multiple connections at a time by
ppp.
But I do not know a lot of this stuff, I might be wrong.
