It seems DSL is a better buy, but 64K is quite slow for DSL. I believe ISDN is
available at 64K and 128K, so DSL offers more room for future upgrade. But
maybe you could wait for something better?
At 64K you will probably download 20 MB in one hour of continuous downloading,
but with Web browsing, you download much less because of the time spent browsing, and
the time the browser takes to render the images.
I believe Linux still has no USB support, but NetBSD (http://www.netbsd.org)
says it has USB support. How would a DSL modem be attached to a USB? I
thought a DSL modem had to be connected to the network card. Any USB device is
supposed to be easy to connect, you wouldn't need anybody else to do that.
