hello, Just wanted to ask about an option I saw on the messages log as I am
watching the PPP connection.
The ISP works without having to enter ppp.
after the ATDT50504 telephone number, I see
CONNECT
PROTOCOL: NONE
COMPRESSION:NONE
After this i get the login and password stuff.
I tried to send ppp to the protocol prompt but this was ignored and NONE
came up again.
Is this info supposed to come from the Modem? What about the Compression
setting? I was playing with this because I was getting very slow
connections.
