Hi,
I just joined the list as I am stuck, hope this question
hasn't already been answered.
I have a linux box (2.0.27) that has been acting as my PPP
server (pppd version 2.2 patch level 0) just fine for a long
time.
I have just upgraded the kernel and all as well as PPP (pppd
version 2.3.7). The PPP server still seems to work with the
older pppd but not the new. Even before I upgraded the kernel,
some time ago I tried upgrading pppd to 2.3.7 and that pppd would
not accept incoming calls.
So with the newer pppd and kernel combo, after
'Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS1' I get a 'LCP: timeout sending
Connfig-Requests'.
I don't have IP Forwarding enabled in the kernel but I don't
think that would cause this problem.
If any of this rings a bell with anyone I'd appreciate a note.
Thanks!
