normally, kernel assigns ppp ports on-demand: ppp0 il first connection .... I have 16 modems connected at a cyclades multiport. I use mrtg for tracking status and statistics of my connections. Mrtg visualizes status of ppp interfaces, and there is not correspondence between pppx and ttyCx. I 'd like to link ppp0 with /dev/ttyC0, ppp1 with ttyC1 ..... is it any way for statically link pysical ports with ppp interfaces ?
