Most people seem to have a misunderstanding of how MP and MPP work.
Most likely ( I don't know I only use Addtran for ISDN connections ) but
there is
a setting somewhere in the modem itself to use MPP. This will tell the modem
that once it has established a single channel connection it should go ahead
and
dial the second one.
Without this setting enabled in the modem I get a single channel even with
winblows-95/98.
I would say that this is not a linux-ppp issue since even an internal modem
appears to the computer the same as an external modem, and we have been
nailing up two channels for a number of years.
I certainly do not claim to be an expert in this area, however I know what
works.
