pppd can not determine remote DNS ?

I'm using pppd 2.3.9 in RH6.0 to connect to ISP using pap.

When I connected, my computer couldn't determine my ISP's DNS , and I need to place the DNS address manually. Why ?

I don't want to place the DNS in my /etc/resolv.conf,

How can i make my pppd determine the DNS automatically when it connected ?

Do I need some special DHCP client ? :-)
