Hmmm. I'm not sure what I've changed but my utmp is being updated correctly
now. I am using pppd 2.3.8. I use mgetty to control the serial ports, and use
the AutoPPP function to launch pppd. I am using the "login" option on the
command line. Here is the command line in login.conf
/AutoPPP/ - - /usr/sbin/pppd auth login +pap lock ipparam @
Anyway, I'll try to find out what I did but I swear that the utmp entry was not
working before.
