Hi!

I have small problem with logfiles of mgetty 1.1.21. Version 1.1.14
logged normally (to /var/log/mgetty/ files mg_ttyS1.log and
mg_callback.log), successful callbacks was also logged to
/var/log/auth.log

I switched to mgetty 1.1.21 and now to auth.log are sent all mgetty
messages (not only succesful callbacks) and this log is full of them
(phone rings, restarting of mgetty etc).

Any clue, how to get rid of them? That's a bit annoying to dig
between of mgetty's messages to see successful / failed logins.

BTW, a bit analogious (but fortunately not so annoyng) problem with
pppd. Logs to /etc/ppp.log are OK, but all messages are duplicated to
syslog. Any way to disable it? Syslog is full enough of another
messages. No need to duplicate messages, which are logged separately
(except error messages).

Can it be done by configuring of /etc/syslog.conf ? (Debian, 2.2.15
kernel, pppd-2.3.11, mgetty-1.1.21)

Best regards,
Valja
