None of any significance, AFAIK. Add the pppd debug option and see what
the PPP link negotiation traces in the logs show. Mgetty has debug options
too. Just saying that "my Win89 client can no longer connect" doesn't help
much.

Somewhere pppd has to supply local and remote IP addresses for the PPP
connection, unless the Windows machine supplies them. What other options
is pppd using?
