Hi All,
As usuall, many folk offered their help - I got far more assistance from this group
than I did Microsoft's own Tech Support (They're still trying to understand the
question).
In the end the credit must go to Dieu Tran... his suggestion was to take the Win95
side out of DUMB mode, and put the leased line settings (as per leased-line mini
howto) as the dial string. 95 though it was dialling, so it was happy, and started
dumping PPP (LCP) frames out, which is exacly what linux's ppp wanted.
It all works perfectly, no change necessary at the linux side at all.
Thanks all for your willingness to help, and Dieu - if you ever find yourself in East
London, South Africa... Lunch is on me.
Bye,
Paul
